Description
Serengeti Sametu Camp
Central Serengeti
Open year round
Located on the banks of the Ngare – Nanyukie River, Serengeti Sametu Camp is just 30 kilometers from Seronera airstrip and on the Eastern edge of the central Serengeti. This area is both isolated and exclusive affording guests a rare opportunity to enjoy some exhilarating game viewing.
Each of the tents has been perfectly positioned for both privacy and to maximize the endless views out over the plains. The camp is not fenced and depending on the time of year, wildlife will wander through the camp feeding and grazing. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives as well as nature walks by the very experienced Masai tribesmen.
The main guest area is spacious with a lounge, dining room and small bar for evening drinks. Whether you are eating or enjoying the bar views out over the plains are guaranteed. A campfire is lit each evening where everyone congregates before dinner to swap stories of the days adventures.
Luxury Tents
Sametu Camp has just 8 luxury safari tents with a canvas construction with very tasteful interiors. The tents are spacious and can be made up as double or twin configurations as well as 2 family suites that have inter connecting rooms for children.
A small area at the front of each tent has been made as a small veranda with comfortable chairs and is a great place to relax during the day with a book. As the camp is not fenced game viewing from here can be rewarding.
The en-suite bathrooms are large with a small area to hang clothing, flush toilet, vanity basin and a shower.
