Description
Serian’s Serengeti Lamai
Serengeti National Park
Located in the Serengeti National Park, Serian’s Serengeti Lamai is a mobile tented camp that is erected each year opposite Crossing Point #4 on the Mara River. This particular crossing point is between all the other river crossings and guests are afforded the exclusivity of waking up to views of thousands of animals as they make this perilous crossing.
The open plains of the Lamai Wedge are also abundant with game including Lion, Leopard and Hyena. The landscape is reminiscent of typical scenes of Africa with huge savanna plains, small hills strewn with granite boulders and areas of dense woodlands where Leopard lurk at night.
The location of this camp has become famous for it’s wildlife sightings and it is not uncommon to “tick off” the Big 5 in just a day. All guests have their own private vehicle, guide and spotter for the duration of their visit so flexibility and unlimited game drives are possible.
The camp is only open from the 15th of June to the 15th of November each year, advance booking is essential. Walking safaris are a very popular way to explore and the guides are all of a world class standard.
Safari Tents
Six safari tents are erected amongst the Acacia trees’ accommodating just 12 guests. This makes the experience both intimate and very unique for everyone.
All tents have an en-suite bathroom that has a flushing toilet and bucket shower that staff will fill up with hot water any time you request it.
