Description
Shumba Bush Camp
Kafue National Park
Shumba Bush Camp is ideally located on the periphery of the Busanga Plains and provides guests with excellent game viewing from land or water. The plains are reminiscent of the Serengeti as they stretch all the way to the horizon. The plains are littered with wildlife and its not uncommon to see big cats from your recliner.
As the area is known to flood the camp has been built on raised wooden platforms and is linked with walkways from the main lodge to each of the tents. A grass roof for each tent helps the camp blend into its landscape beautifully and keeps the tents cool during the hotter parts of the day.
With just 6 guest tents and one larger tent for families their raised positions afford stunning views and magical African sunsets. Queen size beds with en suite bathrooms and both indoor and outdoor showers give each tent a magical atmosphere.
The main area of the lodge is also elevated complete with swimming pool and a sunken area for sun downers where guests can sit on plush cushions for a pre dinner drink. The folding glass doors of the main area give the dining area at night a very pleasant sensation of eating outside.
