Description

Singita Mara River Tented Camp

Lamai Triangle

Closed 15 March – 1 June 2021

In a remote section of the Lamai wedge lies the exclusive and luxurious Singita Mara River Tented Camp. This 400 square kilometre piece of land is in the far North of Serengeti National Park and with the Mara River running through there is an excellent chance you will experience river crossings (July through to October) from the comfort of the camp.

The camp is the first ever constructed in this unique wildlife area and has the Mara River to her South and the border of the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya to her North. While this may not be a private concession, the Singita group delivers unrivaled safari experiences in remote and exclusive locations. Guides at the camp have chartered their own game drive roads ensuring complete privacy at wildlife sightings.

The main guest area has been thoughtfully decorated to create a very warm atmosphere that is very welcoming and a great place to socialize with other guests. There is a wide deck here that encompasses a viewing platform and small dining area, though, meals are served in a variety of locations. A swimming pool is next to the main area.

Luxury Tents

There are 6 tents in the camp. Four are single bed-roomed units while two are joined tents that are ideal for families with children, these are closest to the main guest area.

All the tents are constructed on raised wooden platforms with a comfortable private deck at the front of each. Spacious interiors have king size or twin beds enveloped in mosquito nets and with their canvas sides ensure cooling breezes flow through.

The en-suite bathrooms in each tent have stunning amenities including a rain shower and an outdoor bath overlooking the Mara River.
