Description

Singita Sabora Tented Camp

Serengeti Plains

Located in the 350 000 acre private concession of Singita Grumeti, Singita Sabora Tented Camp forms part of the Serengeti Mara Ecosystem. This vast tract of land is one of incredible diversity and offers select guests a true wilderness experience in one of the greatest wildlife reserves on Earth.

The camp has been designed in the typical decor of colonial times with dark woods and Persian rugs that grace the floors. Some of the decor harks from Zanzibar while others are cleverly designed to fold up or pack away just as if they were about to be carried on a porters back.

The main guest area and lounge rest under two huge tents while another lounge area is on the open deck with fantastic views. Despite the furnishings there is still the feeling of being in the wildness of the bush, it has been well coupled to present luxury in the wilderness.

There is a swimming pool close to the main guest area as well as a spa for bush pampering.

Tented Suites

Sabora has 6 very spacious tented suites that have been built onto raised wooden decks. Inside the decor is similar in style with antiques and Persian themed carpets. The front of each tent boasts a deck and day bed for exquisite relaxation during the day.

A canvas door at the rear of each tent is the access to the en-suite bathroom – our absolutely favorite part of the rooms. A huge free standing bath rests in front of one of the mesh windows, full length mirror and dual vanity basins.  The outside shower is private but has gorgeous views out over the plains.
