Grumeti Private Reserve

Located in the 350 000 acre private concession of Singita Grumeti, Singita Sasakwa forms part of the Serengeti Mara Ecosystem. This vast tract of land is one of incredible diversity and offers select guests a true wilderness experience in one of the greatest wildlife reserves on Earth.

The camp is one of the very best places to witness the spectacle of the Great Migration with front row seats at river crossings. The landscape around the lodge includes the endless grass plains the Serengeti is famous for and dense riverine forests where Leopard lurk.

Perched on Sasakwa Hill the main guest area and suites overlook the rolling Serengeti plains that are dotted with wildlife and iconic Acacia trees’. The views give guests the incredible vastness of this area a real sensation as the plains stretch to the horizon and beyond.

The main guest area is a wonderful place to relax with swimming pool, fitness center and spa boutique in which to be pampered between game drives. Children of all ages are welcome and child minding services can be requested in advance.

Luxury Cottages

Singita Sasakwa has 10 Cottages and 1 Hillside Suite, all with their own private plunge pools and the obligatory views. There are 6 one bed-roomed Cottages and the two 2 bed-roomed cottages are designed specifically for guests with children.

The Hillside Suite is set apart from the other accommodation to afford a real sense of seclusion for guests requiring privacy and a real connection with the surroundings.

All rooms are spacious with private decks at the front from which to enjoy the spectacular scenery.

The Hillside Suite has it’s own small kitchen filled with delicious snacks, a rim flow pool as well as private dining options, personal guide and vehicle for personal use.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly in to Kilimanjaro International Airport with Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Emirates or Qatar Airways.

On your arrival you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you on to a light aircraft for your 1 hour flight to Sasakwa Airstrip. From the airstrip it’s a 45 – 60 minute game drive to camp.
