Somalisa Camp is situated in the epicenter of the infamous Hwange National Park. The camp is located in an isolated part of the park ensuring a completely private experience. Close to Ngweshla Pan and the water hole wildlife viewing, the roar of lions as the light falters all ensure a perfectly unique safari.
At Somalisa Camp, peaceful wilderness encounters action packed game viewing. One moment you may be enjoying a drink on the deck overlooking the waterhole as elephants quench their thirst. The silence is shattered by the distant roar of a pride of lions, calling their territory before the darkness envelopes the plains completely. Enjoy a swim while elephant trunks dip into the pool for the refreshing water they prefer to the muddy water hole water.
Passion exudes from the knowledgeable guides enhancing the experience from vegetation to large and small animals alike. The landscape of Hwange is ever changing from Mopane woodlands to open savanna plains bearing a unique diversity of sightings. Zebra, Giraffe, Sable, Elephant and prides of Lions roam the plains and acacia forests.
