Upstream of Victoria Falls
Ben and Vanessa Parker’s private home, Tangala House, is 15 kilometres up-stream from the Victoria Falls. As owners of the Tongabezi lodge group they work very closely with the areas’ local schools and other philanthropic endeavors. Located on the banks of the Zambezi River it’s the perfect family safari house.
Designed with flair and style this spacious and completely furnished house is your home away from home – quite literally. Replete with children’s toys, a small library and a fully equipped kitchen. The house is serviced and staffed by members of the Tongabezi Lodge team and includes a chef as well as a personal guide with 4X4 at your disposal as and when you need.
As a complete home this is obviously an ideal place for you and your family with large grounds for the kids to play in and close to the action of the Falls and all that the area has to offer. Enveloped by glass windows it’s not uncommon to see Elephants drinking at the waters edge on the other side as well as Crocodile and Hippo in the river waters. For bird enthusiasts finding the 145 species could keep you sublimely occupied.
Accommodation
Sleeping eight people quite comfortably in four bedrooms Tangala House could easily accommodate two families travelling together. Three of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms while the fourth has a separate bathroom area. The kitchen and lounge are very spacious and there is a children’s playroom with the living room opening out onto a thatched veranda. The swimming pool is perfect for the hotter afternoons.
There is no children’s age limit at Tangala. Children under 14 pay 50% of adult rates.
