Description

Tangulia Mara Camp

Masai Mara National Reserve

Meaning “to lead” in Swahili, Tangulia Mara Camp is located on a bend of the Mara River and overlooks the Olotulo-Murt Springs and salt lick. As one of just a few salt licks in the Masai Mara it makes the area in front of the camp very busy and attractive for the resident wildlife.

As the camp is North of the Musiara area access to the Musiara Marsh and the Mara Triangle is quick and easy with diverse and healthy populations of a variety of animals. Game viewing here is nothing short of incredible with Hyena, Elephant, Lion and Cheetah all resident

During the Migration the camp is also able to access the vast herds of Wildebeest and Zebra as well as some prime river crossing points. The owners of the camp, Jackson Loosyla and Dominic Nchoe, each have more than 25 years of guiding experience and as local Masai have unique insights into the animals and local cultures. Both can be booked to guide you at additional charge.

As a community owned camp the décor is rich and bright with the main guest deck overlooking the springs and fantastic game viewing throughout the day. Children of all ages are welcome at the camp.
