Description
The Cliff
Lake Nakuru National Park
Open Year round
Situated on the edge of a 100 meter high cliff, The Cliff Lodge overlooks Lake Nakuru, a soda lake that is nestled in the Great Rift Valley. As the home and feeding grounds of thousands of Flamingoes it is a protected area and surrounded by Lake Nakuru National Park.
The park itself is a mixture of woodlands, dense bush and open savannah plains with volcanic cliffs making it an ideal habitat for four of Africa’s Big 5. The Cliff is located within the boundaries of Lake Nakuru National Park and is part safari lodge, tented camp and boutique hotel.
Activities at The Cliff are centered around morning and afternoon game drives in the National Park where Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and the rare Rothschild Giraffe can be seen. For ornithologists this is a rare opportunity to tick off some very rare migratory and endemic bird species.
Between game drives relax at the lounge, exercise in the gym or enjoy a spa treatment. A swimming pool is close to the main guest area for refreshing dips.
Tented Suites
Each of the tented suites is built onto solid foundations and boast incredible views out over Lake Nakuru. While the 180 degree views are panoramic they do not compromise the privacy that each tent enjoys. Each tent is very spacious with the front able to open up completely where a coffee table and two chairs wait for you to relax in.
The en-suite bathroom has a free standing bath right next to a window as well as a toilet, twin vanity basins and shower.
The Cliff does not accept children under 11 years of age.
