Description

The Essence of Two – 10 days

Safari starts in Maun, Botswana and ends in Livingstone, Zambia.

The Essence of Two starts with an immersion of the soul into the Khwai Concession on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. Arriving in time for your afternoon game drive explore the Mopane woodlands in search of Elephant herds. Leopard stalk the thickets that are alive with prey.

Take a relaxed Mokoro ride with your expert guide and discover the myriad plants and frogs. Pods of Hippo sleep in the deep pools and territorial battles are common. Your suite faces the Khwai River and bird life in the trees’ and forest canopy above you is marvellous. Birders will love this camp!

At Linyanti Bush Camp in the Chobe Enclave views are endless over the dense grasses of these swamps. Elephants graze innocuously right in front of your suite. The area is varied with open plains and dense riverine vegetations home to both Leopard and Lion. The Baboons warning call sounds as the silent predators roam the bush. Night drives and walking safaris are an exciting addition to the morning and afternoon game drives.

A light aircraft from the Linyanti will deliver you to the hustle and bustle of Livingstone. A short drive to Thorntree River Lodge through the town reveals a diverse Zambian culture. The lodge is on the banks of the Zambezi River, not far from Victoria Falls. Explore the rain forests, a trip to Livingstone Island or simply relax with a book on your private deck.

Rhino Walks and the David Livingstone Museum are also well worth a visit. Enjoy a dinner under the stars on your final night in Africa.
