Description

The Hide Safari Camp

Hwange National Park

Nestled on the edges of an endless grassy plain and perched a short distance from the only waterhole for miles, The Hide Safari Camp offers incredible wildlife viewing right in front of the camp. This lodge and its location is one of our favorite places to game watch reclined with drink in hand.

Wake up to the first calls of Robins and Hornbills as the first dawn light creeps in. Your freshly delivered coffee on your veranda can be enjoyed watching Elephants, Kudu, Giraffe and Zebra come down to the mist-edged waterhole. Breakfasts are served at the main lodge just before your morning drive sets off. During the heat of the day the comfortable chairs are the best place to game watch and read a book or socialize with other guests.

After your afternoon game drive you can soak in a soothing hot bath as Buffalo stroll silently by or enjoy an energizing outdoor shower under the stars.

With a range of accommodations to choose from you’re spoilt for choice. The tents are spacious and have been beautifully appointed with local furnishings and décor. Deluxe tents, family and honeymoon tents are available for your choice of holiday.

Zimbabwe is renowned for its remarkable guides and it’s no different at the Hide. The guides have all worked at the camp for years and their friendly nature, gentle humor and love for the bush will radiate as you embark on fun activities with them, or listen to their stories by the campfire. Surrounded by a private concession there is plenty of opportunity to see the amazing wildlife, whether that be on foot, by car, or in the hide close by to the waterhole.
