Across the Great Rift Valley and nestled on rolling hills, The Manor at Ngorongoro is one of the most luxurious safari properties in East Africa. Located close to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area The Manor is an ideal location for families with plenty of kids activities and within easy reach of prime wildlife viewing.

The main manor house has old Cape Dutch architecture reminiscent of colonial times with high ceilings and gables. The main lounge and guest area is sumptuous with dark furniture, thick carpets and a downstairs billiards room.For most guests the focus is on day trips to the Crater Conservation area or to Lake Manyara, this can be done as self drive or with a personal guide and vehicle.

Horses riding, mountain biking and tours through the coffee plantation are just some of the activities on the property and the lush green lawns are perfect for the kids to play around on. There is also a swimming pool and spa area. The Manor also offers private campsite lunches in the Ngorongoro Crater.

Cottage Suites

The Manor has 18 guest rooms in 9 cottages as well as one Stable Cottage with 3 rooms for extended families. Each cottage is luxuriously decorated with huge rooms, fireplaces in the lounge and a private courtyard and deck area. With old world furniture and sleigh beds you can be forgiven for thinking you’ve traveled back in time.

The en-suite bathrooms are huge! Under floor heating, free standing claw foot baths, rainfall shower and twin vanity basins make the space simply stunning. Gowns and complimentary toiletries are provided.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly in to Kilimanjaro International Airport with Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Emirates or Qatar Airways.

On your arrival you will be met by your safari representative who will drive you to Arusha Airport where you will board a light aircraft for the 30 minute flight to Lake Manyara Airstrip. From the airstrip it’s a 60 minute drive to the Manor.
