Description
Tubu Tree Camp
Okavango Delta
Tubu Tree Camp lies nestled in a forest of trees and is raised completely off the ground for excellent game viewing from private suites, walkways and the main lodge area. Suites have a private deck, outdoor shower and the family unit has two interconnected tents with a shared lounge area. A swimming pool has also been raised high enough for views across the bush.
Tubu Tree Camp offers excellent year round game viewing as well as peaceful water excursions through papyrus lined channels of the Okavango Delta. Located on the Western side of the Okavango the area is rich in wildlife diversity including herbivores such as Giraffe, Zebra, Hippo, Elephant, Lechwe and Wildebeest.
The main dining area, lounge and swimming pool give excellent views across the floodplains and water ways of the Okavango. The camp offers a true Delta experience of land and water based activities.
Activities
Morning and evening game drives at Tubu Tree Camp are sensational. Leopard are often seen on game drives as well as other predators which include Lion and Hyena. Night drives with warm blankets reveal the shy nocturnal creatures of the bush. Mokoro trips through the channels are tranquil with nature walks and fishing also available.
The Tubu Tree Camp “Star Bed” is a twenty minute drive from camp and is an excellent opportunity to sleep out under the stars of the Okavango in a safe and comfortable environment. A guide sleeps close by for safety and the star bed has all the comforts of the lodge suite.
Tent Suites
The eight luxury canvas tents are all raised on wooden platforms with en suite bathrooms as well as indoor and outdoor showers. Each has a private deck with sweeping views of the floodplains.
