Description

Uganda and Rwanda

Kigali | Volcanoes | Bwindi

Your safari starts and ends in Kigali.

Uganda and Rwanda are the perfect counterparts for an incredible safari into some of the wildest places Africa has to offer. In just a few hours one can experience the mist shrouded mountains and volcanoes and drop down to the warm and hot savanna plains.

Undulating hills of tea plantations give way to tangled forests and jungle vegetation that are both mysterious and eerie. The chaotic and varied bird life of tiny sun-birds iridescent in the sunlight hide the lumbering and silent forest Elephants that disappear with ghost like vapor in the jungles.

Chimpanzees crash about the forest canopy screeching their chorus of calls and sitting silently are the gorillas. Chewing on leaves and quietly maintaining their lives. Rwanda is in the Great Lakes region of Africa and is highly elevated, her geography is dominated by mountain peaks to the West and open savanna plains to the East. Numerous lakes dot the landscape of this incredible African destination.

Relax in stunning accommodations en route over this six day safari that takes in the best gorilla trekking that both countries have to offer. From the Kigali Serena Hotel to Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge and Volcanoes Virunga Lodge. Rest weary feet after the days activities in beautiful rooms and staff to cater to your every need.

Read our Country Information for advice on travel to Uganda. Your safari is fully guided with experienced guides and gorilla trackers to ensure excellent sightings.
