Our Uganda odyssey begins with your first night at the stunning Laico Lake Victoria Hotel. Spend your first evening relaxing with stunning views of the Lake to get you acclimatised. A delicious dinner before retiring to bed in crisp white luxury.

Seeing Africa from the air is a bucket list experience. Small aircraft ply the skies between lodges and give visitors the chance to game spot, enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the endless plains of the Kidepo National Park. Apoka Safari Lodge sits on a gentle slope giving magnificent views of the savannah. Elephant, Buffalo and Giraffe dot the horizon while Zebra and Waterbuck stroll through the lodge grounds.

Discover the incredible Nile River in the luxury of Bakers Lodge. From here you will do a boat cruise to the Murchison Falls, walk to the top and witness the water cascading through this narrow gorge. Game drives in this area are excellent with regular sightings of big cats.

At Kyaninga Lodge you will be perched high up and have stunning views of the legendary Mountains of the Moon while Kyaninga Lake lies at your doorstep. take a hike around the lodge grounds for great bird watching and views to take your breath away.

Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking in the last few days of your epic expedition into Uganda will humble you as these gentle giants feed and socialise within meters of you.

How to Get There

Fly In

You can fly directly into Entebbe with KLM, Kenya Airways, Qatar, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines or South African Airways.

On your arrival in Entebbe you will be met by your safari representative who will assist you with luggage and transfer you to your first nights accommodation.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 – Laico Lake Victoria Hotel

Arrive at Entebbe Airport. Meet and greet The Uganda Safari Company Driver/Guide who will transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe (+/-15 minutes).

Overnight at Laico Lake Victoria Hotel (BB).

Day 2 – Apoka Safari Lodge

Morning pickup at +/-10h00 from your hotel and transfer to Entebbe Airport (+/- 15 minutes) for a scheduled flight to Kidepo Airstrip in Kidepo Valley National Park (12h30/14h45) Please note that the scheduled flights fly only on particular days which are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). Pick up by a lodge representative and transfer for an Evening game drive.

Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (FB + non-premium-brand drinks and activities).

Day 3 – Apoka Safari Lodge

Game activities in Kidepo and visit to Lorukul Village.

Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (FB + non-premium-brand drinks and activities).

Day 4 – Bakers Lodge

Transfer to Kidepo Airstrip for a charter flight to Bugungu Airstrip. (time to be reconfirmed). Pickup by our representative on arrival who will transfer you to Bakers Lodge (+/- 30 minutes).
Evening game drive.

Overnight at Bakers Lodge (FB + non-premium-brand drinks).

Day 5 – Bakers Lodge

Morning game drive to Northern side of the of Murchison Falls National Park. Afternoon boat excursion with a walk to the top of the falls.

Overnight at Baker’s Lodge (FB + non-premium-brand drinks).

Day 6 – Kyaninga Lodge

Transfer to Bugungu Airstrip (+/- 30 minutes) for a charter flight to Kasese Airstrip (time to be reconfirmed) and then drive to Fort Portal (the drive will take -/+ 2 hours.) Continue to Kyaninga Lodge, set against a backdrop of Kyaninga Lake with the legendary Mountains of the Moon in the distance. Enjoy a 3-hour walk in the afternoon around the lodge.

Day 7 – Kyaninga Lodge

After an early breakfast, you will go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park (+/- 1 hour). In the afternoon, enjoy the bigodi swamp walk.

Day 8 – Kyambura Gorge Lodge

Drive for +/- 3 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Continue to your lodge and visit the different community projects.

Day 9 – Kyambura Gorge Lodge

Morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains. Afternoon boat safari at the Kazinga Channel and evening game drive.

Day 10 – Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

Travel to the Buhoma area of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park (+/- 4 hours’ drive). Hike through the forest from Buhoma to Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge which is found in the Southern part of the forest. Evening at leisure.

Overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (FB + non-premium brand drinks).

Day 11 – Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge

Full day Gorilla tracking in the Nkuringo/Rushaga area (depending on gorilla permit availability)

Overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (FB + non-premium brand drinks).

Day 12 – Departure

Transfer for +/- 2 hours to Kisoro Airstrip for a scheduled flight to Entebbe Airport (09h10/11h25). Stay at Entebbe Airport and connect to your outbound International flight.

  • NB: Baggage restriction of 15kgs per person (no more) is applicable on all flights in small, soft-sided bags. This includes hand luggage. Extra luggage will incur a charge of $3 per kg, per sector, to be paid directly to the airline upon check-in.
