Description

Zambezi Sands

Zambezi National Park

Zambezi Sands lies in an isolated area of the upper Zambezi River within the Zambezi National Park and around 1.5 hours from the town of Victoria Falls. The lodge offers both the traditional adrenaline activities as well as water and safari excursions ideal for families.

To reduce the impact on the environment the camp has been built on raised decks and walkways that connect the tents with the main guest area and reception. The main deck sits right on the rivers edge with excellent views across the river with a welcoming bar, chairs and tables and providing beautiful al fresco meals. There is a fire area surrounded by chairs where guests congregate before and after dinner.

Luxury Tents

Zambezi Sands has just 10 luxury tents that are all well positioned on the waters edge. The Sansimba Rapids and main channel of the river all flow rapidly past the tents. All the tents are raised off the ground on wooden structures and shaded by several Jackalberry trees’.

Seven of the tents have two double beds while the remaining three have just one double bed. The rooms are well appointed with a mini bar, mosquito nets, ceiling fans and hair dryers. Two tents have been designed with families in mind and are linked by a walkway.

The en-suite bathrooms are in a separate section of the tent and have a bath, washbasins and an outdoor shower. The toilets each have a unique view outside.

Children are welcome at Zambezi Sands, from 12 and younger paying 50% of the adult rate.
