Zungulila is a small and intimate tented camp on the Kapamba River. With a broad view of the floodplains and natural springs game viewing is fantastic from the camp. Large herds of elephant and buffalo are regular visitors to the plain along with other game.

Zungulila Bush Camp

South Luangwa National Park

Zungulila Bush Camp is the most recent addition to the stable of bush camps. Its the most remote and perfectly situated overlooking a floodplain. Because of the large concentration of wildlife that live here South Luangwa National Park is very highly regarded.

Zungulila accommodation comprises four Meru thatched tents. There are two twin tents with queen size beds and two double tents, with a king size bed. With solar power hot and cold water is provided along with essential toiletries. A free laundry service is available and there are battery charging facilities. Each one of the four tents has an en-suite toilet, private shower, shaded bamboo veranda and sunken deck with plunge pool. The rest of the camp’s facilities include a communal dining area, lounge with a fully stocked bar, as well as a sunken deck with a boma.

Activities at Zungulila Bush Camp include guided walks, game drives and night drives. The ‘walking safari’ originated in the South Luangwa  and its the best way to experience close encounters with the park’s fascinating wildlife. The park is home to more than 400 bird and 60 animal species. The area has plenty of lush, pristine vegetation and vast, sprawling landscapes. Guides are enthusiastic, helpful and very knowledgeable about the park and its abundant wildlife.

How to Get There

Fly In

Fly into Lusaka with Ethiopian Airlines, South African Airways, Kenya Airways or Air Namibia. On arrival you can be met and escorted to your domestic flight to Mfuwe International Airport. (Meet and greet is an additional charge).

On arrival at Mfuwe you will be met by your guide who will drive you to the lodge.
