Fly over the Falls
Hop in a Heli and watch the water fall from up high. It is quite a sight to see this mass of water dropping to great depths. From high up you also see the geological formations which make the falls so unique. There are several options from helicopters to micro-lights.
Mosi-oa-Tunya….The Smoke that Thunders.
The water falling off the lip of the falls sprays up into the air, creating a constant fine rain and thick mist. As this mass of water hits the earth below it roars and thunders. The locals decided to call it Mosi-oa-Tunya….The Smoke that Thunders. Spend a good amount of time exploring all the paths and view points in this World Heritage Site and one of the Natural Wonders of the World.
Ride the white waters.
Grab a life jacket,don a helmet and hold on tight to your paddle. An experienced guide will captain your raft as you ride the white waters downstream of the falls. Some say these rapids are the biggest and the best in the world. These are some of the most exhilarating rapids in the world!
Take a dip
The Devils’ Pools, on the lip of the falls, will be the most unique swim you ever have. With the “smoke” billowing about you and the “thunder” bellowing below you can float about or peer over the edge.
Bungee or Gorge Swing
Dangling in a safety harness from a cable surrounded by ancient trees and exotic birds. The expert guides watch over you and encourage you to ‘let go’ It is such a thrill you want to speed away but the magnificence of the surrounding nature makes you want to sidle along slowly. You may have to do it twice to really appreciate what this adventure can offer.
Drift the mighty Zambezi
A sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River is an amazing experience as you head upstream past pods of hippos, basking crocodiles and hunting fish eagles. On the return the mighty river takes you on her current quietly into the night as the sun sets.
